The Special Unit for Neuromuscular Disorders has been operating since November 2002 in a separate, fully accessible hospital building, which has been renovated and equipped with modern medical technology provided by MDA Hellas, the Association for the Care of People with Neuromuscular Disorders.
The Unit provides specialized services to children and adolescents with neuromuscular disorders through a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach.
- Comprehensive assessment of patients with neuromuscular disorders by a specialized multidisciplinary team
- Combined assessment within a day clinic setting, allowing patients to be evaluated on the same day by all departments involved in their care
- Systematic long-term follow-up in accordance with international standards of care
- Recording of all medical data in a unified medical record that is updated at every visit
