The Outpatient and Emergency Department Secretariat of "Agia Sofia" Children's Hospital is responsible for organizing and providing administrative support for the regular and afternoon outpatient clinics, as well as emergency cases. Its goal is the smooth operation and immediate service of citizens.
Goals & Responsibilities
- Support for the operation of outpatient clinics and the Emergency Department.
- Reception, guidance, and assistance of patients in cooperation with nursing and other staff.
- Maintenance of activity records for outpatient clinics and emergency cases.
- Regulation of the order of patient attendance and scheduling of follow-up examinations upon consultation.
- Issuance of hospital admission forms following a physician’s order and maintenance of the waiting list.
- Maintenance of records of available beds in cooperation with the heads of the clinical departments and the Nursing Service.
- Issuance of certificates in cooperation with the Medical Service.
- Management of revenue related to the department’s services.
- Certification of signature authenticity for citizens.
