“AGIA SOPHIA” Children’s Hospital of Athens

The “AGIA SOPHIA” Children’s Hospital of Athens, in cooperation with the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), has been recognised as a provider of specialised care for rare and complex childhood diseases, through the operation of certified Centres of Expertise.

The Hospital’s Centres of Expertise have been recognised by Government Gazette 4271/22-9-2019 and 2655/21-4-2023 and actively participate in European Reference Networks (ERNs), contributing to the improvement of diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of paediatric patients with rare diseases.
