Independent Department of Organisation and Informatics

At the “Agia Sophia” Children’s Hospital, a modern Integrated Information System for Healthcare Units (IISHU) is in operation, specifically designed to meet our needs (ERP, LIS, RIS/PACS, Nursing & Medical Record, MIS).

The Independent Department of Organisation and Informatics ensures the uninterrupted operation of all systems and applications, updates the Administration on the progress of new projects, and ensures that technology effectively supports the work of the Hospital.

The Department’s team works every day to ensure:

  • The maintenance and security of information systems
  • Data protection and security
  • The proper management of computing resources

At the same time, it is responsible for supporting the technical infrastructure (Computer Room, servers, computers, printers, scanners, barcode printers), as well as for installing and adapting the software used by the departments and clinics.

In an era when the need for reliable and immediate information is greater than ever, the Informatics Department undertakes the study, design, planning and implementation of information technology projects.

Our goal is to provide physicians, nurses and all staff with the appropriate tools, so that they can focus on the most important task: the care and health of children.
