Independent Department of Quality Control, Research and Continuing Education

The Independent Department of Quality Control, Research and Continuing Education is a key pillar of the Hospital’s smooth operation and the continuous improvement of the services provided. Its mission is to implement and continuously improve the Quality Policy, in direct alignment with the Hospital’s strategic objectives and with the needs and expectations of patients and their families.

Quality Management System

The Department plays an active role in the planning, development and monitoring of an integrated Quality Management System, which includes the recording and standardisation of procedures, the evaluation of their effectiveness and their continuous review. Through internal audits and the systematic monitoring of indicators, compliance with international standards is ensured, while patient and staff safety is strengthened.

Administrative Procedures

The Department makes a substantial contribution to simplifying administrative procedures and reducing bureaucracy, promoting modern management practices and the rational organisation of services.

It supports the standardisation of documents and the optimisation of internal communication, strengthening the Hospital’s operational cohesion.

Patient Experience

Particular emphasis is placed on the systematic recording and evaluation of patient experience, through the management of complaints and the development of satisfaction measurement tools, in cooperation with the competent departments and the Citizen Support Office. These data are used to design targeted interventions for the improvement of services.

Training

The Department is responsible for organising, supporting and evaluating training activities for all staff, with the aim of continuously developing knowledge and skills.

It prepares and monitors annual training programmes, ensuring their alignment with the needs of the organisation.

Research

The Department supports the planning, implementation and monitoring of research programmes and protocols, as well as the management of the relevant records.

It encourages participation in national and international research projects, contributing to scientific development and the integration of innovative practices into clinical practice.

Strategic Objectives

The Department’s strategic objective is the continuous improvement of quality, the reduction of deviations from standards, the strengthening of a quality culture among all staff, and the development of a modern, efficient and people-centred healthcare system.
